Other Worlds Than This was recorded in 2005 and was set to be our follow up to The Head and the Heart. We had been playing these 5 songs live for several years at that point, and it was time to put them to tape. This is essentially an earlier, unrefined version of Twilight Ritual that was recorded right before Alan took a hiatus from the band for a few years to focus on his family. We finished tracking and did a quick mix and then shelved it. Many years later, Chuck unearthed this recording from one of his hard drives, but the original masters were long gone. There was no way to remix, so we kept it to ourselves, enjoying the raw and emotional tone of the recording. When we began revisiting Twilight Ritual for a possible vinyl release, it only seemed right to share this version of the songs for the sake of documentation. It has its own space in our tiny history.
